A Woman of God

This is my first entry as a blogger. I have never before had a blog, but I do enjoy writing my thoughts to paper. I think better this way. If I can't express my thoughts well they flow perfectly well on a page. So here we go!

I am a Christian. I love the Lord with my whole being and I never stop growing in Him who saved me from death. This relationship I have with my Father is the most important thing in my life. A close second is my husband.  He, too, loves the Lord and strives to be the spiritual leader in our home. For that, I admire him. He also loves me for me. We live in a society that tells us we're not ever good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, etc. My man blows that thinking out of the water! I can't imagine life without him...

My son is in a whole league of his own. I was blessed to give birth about 6 months ago to a beautiful miracle. When told it would be nearly impossible to bear children, the Lord had other plans. I have a wonderful son who smiles every time he sees me. He laughs constantly and is already popular with the ladies without trying. He loves music and kicks out his legs with the rhythm of the beat. With a family of music lovers, I am excited to see what happens in the future.

I just started reading  "12 Extraordinary Women of the Bible" by John Macarther. The first chapter is about Eve and how God created her. What struck me was how she was created last and was like the cherry to the sundae. She completed everything. The second thing that stood out to me was that God made her without any impute from Adam. Why would He? Yet, when reading this I was blown away by the fact that she perfectly completed Adam. All his needs were met because God new what he needed...not wanted. Before the fall, it was the perfect marriage. Yet, after sin became a part of life, Eve still was the perfect match for Adam. This encourages me because while I feel inadequate as a wife, God created me for my husband. I still have a purpose as a woman of God. I can make a difference in my house. I still haven't gotten through the whole chapter yet, but as I learn more, watch for a post!
